We just got the news that all is well and we are approved with NVR mortgage. They kept a great timeline with us on documents needed and met their goal of 28 days to respond:)
All went smooth!

Rite Rug flooring appointment September 19, 2014
Here are our picks:)
Kitchen cabinets, laminate counter top and LVT flooring in study, kitchen, great room and morning room.
Standard vinyl flooring in foyer, mud room and 2 bathrooms.
Standard vinyl flooring with espresso cabinets that will be in all the bathrooms.
Upgraded carpet for bedrooms and basement, and padding. Carpet name is "Sweet Tea", we took it as a sign:) lol
Master bath will have the alternate shower and ceramic tile flooring, with the espresso cabinets.
Hoping this looks as awesome as we think it will with all the bronze finishes!
Guardian appointment
I did not go to this appointment, my husband is the media/security expert and has an avid interest in both...I am still learning how to turn the TV on and switch over to watch a DVD:(
It should be interesting to learn the security system!
So a few more items added to the cost of the house (that part is getting super depressing)...
The Guardian rep told us once they begin construction he will be the first person to call us to meet him out there to review placement of speakers and that we will not have much time.
He will call and within 24-48 hours we will have to meet him and be ready!
He said that will be our first opportunity to see the house in progress and go in, it happens before the drywall meeting.
Last night, September 21, 2014 we signed our final change orders for the Guardian and Rite Rug....so we should be ready to roll!

Upgrades we selected...
Trying to make it our own! Want to be unique and find touches we love:)
1. Finished basement
2. Morning room with additional window
3. Full bath in basement (only WANTED a half bath down there, but they no longer offer that)
4. Cathedral ceiling
5. Fireplace surround with granite (Beige Marfil)
6. 2' extension to garage, so hubby can fit his truck in finally!
7. Gourmet Island in kitchen with cabinet upgrade to Rushmore Square Maple Glaze Hazelnut.
8. Hardware for cabinets (think this is not a big deal?...get it!lol...we are staying in an apartment temporarily while house is being built and no hardware...we hate it!)
9. Crown molding on cabinets
10. Opted for the 3rd bedroom to be a study, which will have french doors, yippie:)
11. Owner's bath, ditched the tub (had one and did not use it enough to warrant ever having another one)...selected the Type A Shower Alternate layout. Cabinets in all bathrooms will be Maple Espresso.
12. Ceiling fans for master bedroom and great room
13. Pre-wires for morning room, guest bedroom and study.
14. Water softener rough in, a must for our area!
15. Stainless Steel kitchen appliances to match our fridge we already own.
16. Whole house oil rubbed bronze; also added the Leland-ORB Kitchen faucet so it would match
17. Battery backup for sump pump
18. Trim package #2 for cased openings and crown (but I DO NOT want chair rail, hate it...they are going to work with us on that and hopefully build up the crown molding up top with the extra pieces...)
19. Added a few extra 110V outlets to be placed at our construction meeting IF we need them.
